🧭 General

Q: What is EtherealAlchemy Mining Pool?
A: We are a Bitcoin mining pool that combines miners' hashrate to find blocks together. We operate on a PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares) payout scheme with a low 0.85% pool fee. We also offer a solo mining pool for those who prefer to gamble on finding blocks alone.

Q: Do I need an account to mine?
A: You can mine without an account by simply pointing your miner to our stratum address using your Bitcoin address as the username. However, to adjust your payout settings (like minimum payout or auto‑payout), you will need to verify your Bitcoin address by creating a Drupal account and completing the verification process.

Q: How do I get started mining?
A: 1. Choose a Bitcoin wallet address.

1. Configure your mining software to connect to:
   · Shared pool: stratum+tcp://pool.etherealalchemy.win:3333
   · Solo pool: stratum+tcp://pool.etherealalchemy.win:3334
2. Set your username to your Bitcoin address and any password (e.g., x).
3. Start mining!

💰 Payouts & Fees

Q: What payout scheme do you use?
A: We use PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares). When a block is found, the reward is distributed among miners who contributed shares in the last N shares (currently 5 million shares). The more shares you submit, the higher your reward proportion.

Q: What is the pool fee?
A: The fee is 0.85% of each block reward, deducted before payouts. This covers operational costs and keeps the pool running.

Q: How often are payouts sent?
A: Payouts are processed automatically once per week (every Sunday at 02:00 UTC). You must have reached your minimum payout threshold (default 0.001 BTC) to receive a payout. You can change your threshold in your account settings after verifying your address.

Q: What is the minimum payout?
A: The default minimum is 0.001 BTC. You can increase this threshold in your account to reduce payout frequency and save on transaction fees.

Q: Is there a withdrawal fee?
A: Yes, a flat 0.0002 BTC withdrawal fee is deducted from each payout. This helps cover Bitcoin network transaction costs. You can avoid paying this fee frequently by setting a higher payout threshold.

Q: How are transaction fees handled?
A: The pool pays the Bitcoin network fee for the payout transaction. The flat withdrawal fee helps offset this cost.

🔐 Verification & Account

Q: Why should I verify my Bitcoin address?
A: Verification links your Bitcoin address to a Drupal account, allowing you to:

· View your unpaid balance and payout history.
· Adjust your minimum payout threshold.
· Enable/disable automatic payouts.
· Receive support faster.

Q: How do I verify my address?
A: 1. Create an account on our website.

1. Go to the verification request page and enter your email and Bitcoin address.
2. You will receive a token by email.
3. Sign that token with your Bitcoin wallet (using the "Sign Message" function).
4. Submit the signature via the provided form.
5. An administrator will verify your signature and mark your address as verified (usually within 24 hours). Once verified, you can log in and adjust your payout settings.

Q: What if I lose access to my wallet?
A: If you lose your private keys, we cannot help you recover funds that have already been sent. We strongly recommend creating an account, verifying your address, and keeping your wallet backed up. If you have a verified account, you can disable auto‑payouts to prevent funds from being sent to a lost wallet. From there you can work with support to have the address linked to your account changed. Addresses that are not verified can not be changed.

⚙️ Mining Settings

Q: Can I set a custom minimum payout?
A: Yes, verified miners can change their minimum payout threshold in their account settings. The minimum allowed is 0.0005 BTC, but you can set a higher value.

Q: Can I disable auto‑payouts?
A: Yes, verified miners can turn off automatic payouts. If you disable auto‑payouts, your earnings will accumulate until you either enable them again or request a manual payout (contact support).

Q: What are the worker limits?
A: There is no hard limit; you can run as many workers as you like. Each worker will appear in your stats with its own hashrate.

🛡️ Security

Q: How do you protect my earnings?
A: Payouts are sent directly to the Bitcoin address used to mine with. We do not hold your funds longer than necessary. Our pool wallet is encrypted and stored securely, and we use firewalls and rate limiting to prevent attacks.

Q: Do you store my private keys?
A: No, we never have access to your private keys. Your wallet is your responsibility.

Q: What is the best way to secure funds earned here, at your platform?
A: Two factor authentication of your account on our website, and cryptographic verification of your cryptocurrency addresses, will provide you with the best security that we are able to provide; it is then up to you to ensure that your wallet is backed up, and not accessible to anyone other than you (or someone that you trust with your wallet).

❓ Troubleshooting

Q: I'm mining but my hashrate is zero on the dashboard.
A: It can take a few minutes for your hashrate to appear. If it remains zero, check your miner logs for errors, ensure your Bitcoin address is correct, and that you're connected to the correct port.

Q: My miner disconnects frequently.
A: This could be due to network issues, unstable internet, or the pool being under load. Try using a different port or check your miner’s timeout settings.

Q: I received a payout but my wallet shows nothing.
A: Confirm that the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain (use a block explorer). If it has many confirmations but your wallet still doesn’t show the balance, you may need to rescan your wallet or contact your wallet provider.

Q: How do I report a problem?
A: For general inquiries, use one of the contact forms. Submissions from verified accounts will be prioritized.
